Enjoying the experience!

I work for a race horse owner and breeder. I didn't know much about the industry until working for him. I liked the concept that My Racehorse offered people that would not be able to own a race horse on their own. I have no expectations, whatever happens, happens! I did transfer some of my Adaay In Asia shares to my son as a Christmas gift. The groups seem to have some really cool people and I can see making some new friends that way. I am excited to see where things go.

MyRacehorse Hi, Neenah Thank you for your kind words! We love that you are already enjoying your experience with MyRacehorse and building a community of fellow owners to enjoy racehorse ownership with! We are thrilled to be a part of your ownership journey and we love your passion for racing and for horses! We appreciate the support and as always, feel free to reach out. Best of luck to you and your stable!

Just getting started

Growing up 20 minutes from Santa Anita I became interested in Thoroughbred horse racing at a very young age. Been going to the track since the early 70s. I've always wanted to own a race horse, but I invest my money in the stock market. Recently, I bought 5 shares of Alliford Bay 21 and I'm very excited. Listen, you get in this business to have fun, not to make a lot of money. I'm going to enjoy the ride with a very minimal investment and that's how you should approach this opportunity. Have fun and we'll see you at the track...

MyRacehorse Hi James, Thanks for writing in and sharing your experience. We are thrilled to have you as part of the MyRacehose family! We hope you enjoy all of the owner perks we have to offer, such as free and upgraded seating, paddock passes, farm and barn visits, access to online owner only town halls and much more. Please feel free to reach out to our support team if you have any questions and once again welcome to the team!

No Shame Rip Off Continues

Authentic 2022 distribution $11.37 per share. The rip off continues. My Race Horse . Com is a scam.

MyRacehorse Hi Todd, We understand why only receiving a modest dividend in year two for a stallion is a bit frustrating, but it is definitely not a scam, it is just a bi-product of how we acquired the horse. As we've explained through updates, the Authentic account is very unique due to the contract terms when MRH and Spendthrift Farm acquired Authentic from the original ownership group. Authentic was purchased at a base price ($15 million) and if Authentic accomplished certain feats on the track (Grade 1 win, Derby win, Breeders Cup win, Horse of the Year, etc.) there would be additional payments due from MRH and Spendthrift Farm to the original owners. As a result an extra ~$19 million is now due to the original sales price, making the final purchase price around $34 million. This money was not included in the share price; if it were the share price would've been increased by about 2/3rd's of what the original share price was. This year’s modest payout is mainly about getting our debt paid down, once the debt is paid off (which we are forecasting is 2025) to Spendthrift for paying the kickers on our behalf, there is an opportunity for much higher distributions. Although this investment has not provided significant liquidity to date, that does not mean that it will not ultimately have a good ROI. There are a lot of investments that as the asset appreciates there is little to no liquidity and it can only be realized through a sale of the asset/security or over time. As you will see from the overview, Authentic's stallion career is off to a very promising start and he has the potential to become a top tier stallion. If that does come to fruition, this investment has the opportunity to appreciate several times over. A lot of it now depends on his progeny on how well they run which we will start to see next year. If the progeny produce as well as his yearlings sold in the ring this year, that would be a big step forward in seeing a solid return from the investment in Authentic.

KNOW WHAT YOU'RE GETTING INTO BEFORE INVESTING

I've seen some disappointed investors in some of the comments. When investing in My Racehorse, you should know what you're getting into before hand. I've invested in over 40 horses in total and have made a profit on 1. So if you're getting into this for the money, you should look to invest elsewhere. This investment is really for the true horse racing fan who has always dreamed of owning a race horse (albeit a very small percentage). The experiences offered by My Racehorse is really what you should consider when investing. If that's what you enjoy then you'll find the investment worthwhile. If you're looking to make money, invest elsewhere.

MyRacehorse Hi John, We couldnt agree more which is why we put such a big emphasis on the experience of owning a racehorse and enjoying the journey. The Thoroughbred industry is a tough industry to be financially successful in even for the biggest operations however, you never know when you can hit big with a superstar! Our model is race horse syndication through micro-shares which is to provide the opportunity of race horse ownership to as many Thoroughbred racing fans as possible. Under our model we only require a one time out of pocket payment by investors. Our model is extremely unique and beneficial to shareholders compared to others. Once you purchase a share, your financial commitments cease, but the real fun just begins. We have team members all across the United States working with the trainers, farms and other key stakeholders to provide you as many updates as possible on your racehorse. You will receive workout updates, training assessments, race targets and analysis and many other updates. In addition you will be eligible to enjoy any owner perks provided by the race track, which could include free and upgraded seating, farm and barn visits, access to online owner only town halls and much more.

I purchased shares in "Here's the kicker" This is a dream come true for me. I'm 66 years old and have always wanted to own a racehorse. Now I do. I know I will never get rich with this But the fact is I own a racehorse however small the percentage. .My family and I watched the maiden race of Here's the kicker. you would have thought we were watching the Kentucky derby. No she did not win but that didn't matter. We watched our horse run. Thanks for the opportunity to accomplish my dream.

MyRacehorse : Hi John, Congratulations on a very promising debut for Here’s the Kicker! Thank you for your kind words and for sharing your passion for racing with us. We’re thrilled to hear you’re enjoying your experience thus far and we are excited to have you join the MyRacehorse family! We hope to see you and your family at the races again soon. I really enjoyed being in the paddock for our two runners at Keeneland this weekend. Decades ago, I visited Lexington and watched the horses being saddled for the races. I wondered what it would be like to be on the other side of that fence during such a prestigious meet. Now I know. I appreciate MyRacehorse so much for providing these experiences – this being one of many that has been so valuable and fulfilling.

Pausing with Seize the Grey is so wise. As in human athletics, overtraining can be a concern. I am a horse vet for 47 years and the one hard thing re MRH is no input, which is new for me! Since we can't interview horses like human athletes, "freshening" can successfully address a myriad of niggling issues.

MyRacehorse Thanks for reaching out. We’re glad to hear our decision has been well-received! As you can likely tell, our process is pretty regimented in looking after the safety and well-being of the horse throughout the entire process. Seize the Grey gave us lots of thrills and excitement during his two year old year and we are hopeful that giving him a nice little refresher could be the key to an even more exciting 3-year-old year! Best of luck to you and Seize the Grey!

Transitioned Horse Audit

I commend MRH for this Audit. As a first time owner, albeit a small share of course, it was very important for me to see that the welfare of the horses post-racing be followed-up on, given that so many only have short racing careers for various reasons. As part of the Super Stable, Everything Nice was my first ever runner; it's lovely to hear that she is in foal!

Nothing but 000s

I did love the concept at first but Having 31 shares in horse's at this point i think other people are benefiting off of me . I am not going to give a dollar amount because i am embarrassed.

MyRacehorse Hi Keith, Wow, you have quite the stable! It is possible to make a profit, however, not every horse is profitable, in fact, there’s no guarantee that the horse will turn out to be profitable and in many cases, horses are not profitable. While we’re always striving for the best on-track success possible, your stable of horses represents the challenges many racehorse owners experience. As you know by now, this is an extremely humbling industry where many well-bred, expensive, and well-thought-of horses don't make it or perform to expectations. We also understand the frustration of horses not living up to those expectations, and most don’t, which is the harsh reality of the sport we all love. Unfortunately, most horses do not even earn enough money on the racetrack to cover their training expenses and often rapidly depreciate from their initial sales price. What is great about partnering with us is that you can never lose more than your initial investment. We try to collect enough cash upfront to get your horse to the races and have cash available for the early stages of their career. We then use the horse earnings to help pay for future training, care, and administrative expenses. As these funds naturally deplete over time, we manage a reserve account to ensure we can continue campaigning your horse and pay for its training and care. To keep the one-time out-of-pocket payment system, race earnings are used to replenish the account. If the cash gets depleted, our parent company will pay the bills out of our pocket. Our model is extremely unique and beneficial to shareholders compared to others. Unfortunately, there is no way to tell if the horse will be successful or even make it on the track. Which is why we offer race day experiences, paddock passes, winner's circle passes, farm visits, lots of great content, and Facebook lives to name a few benefits of ownership with MyRacehorse! As always we appreciate you taking the time to share your feedback, and please reach out if you have any questions.

How many can say..."I own a racehorse" well a fraction of one. For approximately $100, you buy your shares. Yes there's a "s" on the end of shares. Get the whole family involved as you check the trainer/stats, the bloodline etc. Make your decision and you own a race.horse. Make you rich? No but you can accumulate some dollars in your MRH wallet. Check it out for some awesome fun. BTW if you have questions. The wonderful folks there are quick to email you back. Can't go wrong owning a horse for entertainment.

I am having so much fun watching the horses that I have invested in become winners!!!! My GRandmother and my Father all were race fans. It is in my blood! I have the MRH pictures on my wall....all of them. Winners or not! I am like a proud Mama seeing my Horses grow into such wonderful examples of thoroughbred racers.Who could ask for anything more. I am in no hurry , just make sure that they are healthy to run.I ask for no more than that!

As you can likely tell, our process is pretty regimented in looking after the safety and well-being of the horse throughout the entire process (prior to buying them, during their time in the stable, and aftercare). Not For Me

Fortunate enough that the 4 horses I had/have part in won races. Even cashed a good ticket with Got Stormy in the Four Star Dave. Coming from and still involved in Harness Racing I find the Thoroughbred to fragile and unreliable for my taste. They just do not race enough for me to continue. Also, and again just my opinion I think MRH at times do not classify the horses adequately as in the case of one that I am currently involved with. Sometimes you just have to put a tag on them and cut them loose unless there is breeding potential. Overall had some fun but not enough for me to continue after the last 2 are gone.

MyRacehorse Hi Jeffrey, We understand there are many different racing avenues for different breeds and the thoroughbred industry is not for everyone.

I have been fortunate that the majority of my horses have made it to the track. A few had some health issues that delayed them but most have raced. Never thought a 400k horse would get sent to the claiming ranks that quickly. The returns are very disappointing and I would love to know how many repeat customers you have. From what I have read and experienced, tells me there are a lot of one and outs like I will be. I am involved in a few partnerships and although a little more of an expense it is a much better financial experience. After experiencing both, my advice to someone looking to invest would be save up a few more dollars and go that route rather than MRH. As other reviews have stated, if you just like saying you are an owner, and you are ok with pennies on the dollar and a really good chance of not getting your principle back then this is perfect. I get the idea of trying MRH but once you realize how the returns work you will understand. I tried it to see how it might compare to my other partnerships and there is no comparison, save your money.

MyRacehorse Hi Tony, Thanks for your feedback. We strive to make ownership available and as fun as possible for all. MyRacehorse allows racing fans to experience ownership through micro-shares at an affordable cost with all the perks of a majority owner. It is a one time payment, there are no out of pocket expenses after your initial purchase. Even though you may only have a small portion of ownership, we do our best to create an experience that a majority owner would enjoy. Buying interest in a Thoroughbred with MyRacehorse gives you a true ownership experience for a fraction of the cost. Our model gives our owners all the thrills of thoroughbred racing, while minimizing the risks.

For your consideration

My family have had shares with Myracehorse for almost two years. We have had shares in 4 horses. An observation is that the significant majority of offerings have been for un-raced horses, and usually two-year olds. In our case, the overwhelming percentage of updates about our horses have revolved around injuries, 60-90 day layoffs, and surgeries. Only two of our four horses have made it to the track for a grand total of 4 races in 2 years. I am wondering if Myracehorse has started to think about purchasing more Horses of Racing age horses who have proven their fitness and soundness in the afternoons. You recently did this with the Adaayinasia, which I thought was terrific. The number 1 thing my family wants to do is cheer on our horses during races. We would like more opportunities to do so. So far, this part of our journey has been underwhelming.

MyRacehorse Hi Andrew, Thanks for the feedback. MyRacehorse has had many offerings of horses of racing age in the past and we will continue to seek opportunities to bring more to the platform in the future.

This is For Fun not for money

Hey if you just want to say hey my horse ran i made a nickel, this is just fine. You learn a lot about the in and out of the industry. Most people can not own a part of a sports team like the NFL but this is what it is. Your horse win, lose or completely fail is part of your racing team. Not everyone is a Derby winner and if he or she was it would not be up for sell in this manner. I enjoy and have a few special favorites. This for fun not money.

MyRacehorse Hi Tyra, Horses are living, breathing, fragile animals and no guarantees can ever be made about the outcome of an investment in a racehorse. Most investments lose money, some break even, a few are profitable, and a select few are extremely profitable. We are here to provide a marketplace to make investing safe, secure and fun, but we are not removing the risk from racehorse ownership. MyRacehorse allows racing fans to experience ownership through micro-shares at an affordable cost with all the perks of a majority owner. It is a one time payment, there are no out of pocket expenses after your initial purchase. It is possible to make a profit, however, there’s no guarantee that the horse will turn out to be profitable, and not every horse is profitable. Because of this, we really cherish the big wins and emphasize that MyRacehorse is very experience based. We work really hard to provide the best ownership experience possible!

I purchased micro share in 'The Duet'. I've been into horse racing for nearly 60 years so I absolutely understand that 2YO's can take time. My disappointment is the lack of updates. One has had no update for 18 days, ok, they said she'll be re-examined at the end of August...fine. The other had an update 16 days ago that said he would have his first timed workout as soon as the next day. 16 days later no update...

MyRacehorse Hi Mark, We understand your frustration. You'll be happy to see that half of The Royal Duet offering, Guinevere, has had more consistent updates this month. In case you missed it, we went live last week with Guinevere at the farm and chatted with her trainer Wesley Ward, answering your questions live. You can catch the replay in your MyRacehorse account. Unfortunately, there are less frequent updates available for horses when they are off of training, as is the case for La Cuvee '21 for now, but we appreciate your feedback and will take it into consideration when publishing updates in the future.

MyRacehorse Hi Donald, All of our MyRacehorse horses are adequately insured. However, we are hoping for enough racetrack success to provide a boost to her residual value. But as much as we are excited about her racing prospect, a very big part of the reason we buy fillies with these types of pedigrees is their already established inherent value as broodmares after their racing career. The most sought-after broodmare prospects are those with accomplished families within their pedigrees.

I loved this filly & was very disappointed when MRH decided selling her in the 2022 November Night Of The Stars sale. Whoever decided to sell A Mo Reay in this sale made a very bad decision. Sold for $400,000 & she’s gone on to win $634,250. Her value as a broodmare far exceeds what she’s won.

MyRacehorse Hi Kimberly, There is do doubt that A Mo Reay has been doing terrific with two wins and a lifetime best speed figure since joining Brad Cox. When we decided to sell, Spendthrift and MRH believed we had given her solid opportunities to maximize her value and thought the 2022 Night of The Stars sale was the best time to realize that value creation. We knew breeders would love her page and the Grade 1 Frizette placing, not to mention that the broodmare market was near historic highs and very favorable to sellers. We sold a horse that had never won a graded stakes race for $400k so we thought we did very well for all involved. We had some fun with her, got some wins, and were able to pay off the deferred debt to Spendthrift, and return some capital to the partners. However, as the recent results have shown, we probably should have kept her for another year. This is the high stakes game of racehorse ownership. When it comes to selling, history has proven most of the time our team has been right, but this is a time that we may indeed be proven wrong. As a stable made up of tens of thousands of passionate owners we do prefer to keep horses in the stable for as long as possible, but also take our fiduciary responsible seriously. It's a delicate balance, and we will continue to look to optimize our approach. As for A Mo Reay, we will continue to root for her and wish her new owners nothing but the best.

They do a great job of keeping you updated on the horses. Offer a handful of get together a if you are close to a track. You won’t make much money though. Overall i invested in probably a dozen horses. I have yet to make my money back, and I don’t see a route to where I even break even. You’ll see your horse win and the payout is $1.35 for you.

MyRacehorse Hi E. Norma, We're glad you enjoy the updates! We love providing owners with access to a lot of the perks any owner would expect to receive. First is the exclusive content, including the updates you mentioned on the health/training progress of your horse, but we also plan events like tours of the backside while your horse is at the track and even farm tours for those that may have purchased a horse that is not yet racing. Your horse company is a for-profit entity. If the horse is ultimately profitable—which is measured against the cost of purchasing the horse, training, and maintenance, and other costs associated with operating the horse series company—you can expect to receive a dividend.
