I enjoyed Scared Beauty’s last race and her efforts to improve. While she will never be an allowance/stakes horse, she shows the heart of a thoroughbred. Love the talent and enthusiasm of her trainer who wants to show the horse’s best. My home track is Tampa Bay Downs so I very much appreciate our community of claimers and their trainers. While I am excited by my Derby and Oakes hopefuls, I get just as much pleasure from Scared Beauty. Being so close to Gulfstream, we get the big trainers sending their hopefuls here. Best of both worlds! Saw Always Dreaming win a race here to start his Derby year. Thank you for allowing us to enjoy Scared Beauty and what she represents in racing a bit longer.

The first horse I invested in with My Racehorse was Monomoy Girl and though it was for only one race, it was very exciting watching this champion mare run her hear out. But this past Saturday at Gulfstream watching Iron Work win his debut was eve more exciting. I purchased my share last June, even before the horse was named, as I liked the breeding. How great that I have a small piece of ownership that's now on the Kentucky Derby trail. It's only one race, but I think big things are coming with Iron Works, and it's just great that I can be along for the ride, thanks to My Racehorse. One thing, however, is that I just saw the updates for the horse one day after the race. I would have loved to see these before the race obviously. I think you can do a better job of emailing owners about all the updates on their horse, and not just workout updates. Thank you.

Bought into “the fillie four” , one looks promising, one run as a 3yo and gets sent to the auction and the other two don’t even make it to the starting gate…….seems like I wasted my investment of hopes and dreams.

Went to see Cornice Traverse race. She had a rough trip down the strech but the Filly is all game. Next time should be the charm! We had seating prearranged on the Veranda and it was great. Excellent View with a nice breeze in the shade. We had an issue with security saying no more owners in the paddock (new rule )but our host Caitlin solved that problem within a minute. Caitlin was awesome. Very friendly, knowledgeable, helpful and just a positive person to be selected to be our guide for the day! Thank You MyRacehorse and Caitlin! See ya next time!!!

Had a great time at Aqueduct today. Salute to America ran a nice race. It was only his second start and I thought he went a little to fast on the lead.(46) I see good things ahead. A bit of a coincidence, because I have been thinking of writing what follows for some time now… I was so pleased to read “Why Do Horses Get Time Off”. As MyRacehorse grows and adds more shareholders, I’ve been concerned that the possible criticism of a small minority of participants - either through impatience or a lack of understanding of just how difficult it is to get a thoroughbred to the racetrack - would cause the company to abandon offering young unraced horses to the public, to focus exclusively on those that have (successfully) made it to the track. I, for one, love the process - and the uncertainty, the positive developments and the setbacks - of bringing a young horse to the races. Obviously there will - and have! been - great successes (and it’s not a cliche to believe those successes are all the sweeter for having taken a period of time to achieve), as well as less-than-perfect results. My goodness, isn’t that what life is all about? And honestly, how can anyone disagree with the philosophy of “putting the horse first”? MyRacehorse has literally been a dream come true for me, giving me an opportunity to participate in something I never thought possible… Wishing everyone all the very best in 2022!

Just wanted to let you all know that no matter I support our group whenever and wherever. I own shares in Going to Vegas but I live in Pennsylvania. Last week Lady Valentine ran at Parx Race Track 5 minutes from where I live. Although I do not own shares I still went to Parx put in an across the board bet just to support a stable mate. It was an awesome race and Lady Valentine came out a winner! What an experience. Couldn’t enjoy the whole MRH experience any more!!! Congratulations to all of the Lady Valentine owns hope to see her run again

Love the site. Really have enjoyed being an owner. I think a nice feature to add to the site would be a discussion board for owners. Maybe a separate board for each horse with owners only and one general board for all members. Would like to hear other opinions about training progress or how a race went. I would also like to keep tabs on how horses I don’t have shares in are doing. Just a thought. Keep up the good work!

I owned 2 shares of Howboutdemapples, until she was claimed in a $50,000 maiden claiming race on 11/24/21. While I understand it is part of the business and sometimes the best chances to win are claiming races, there is the risk of your horse being claimed. I have a couple of questions: Why is it on Equibase, Howboutdemapples is still listed as being owned by MRH and Steven Ausmussen as the trainer? The results of her workouts since being claimed are still being posted in my account/my horse listings under my MRH account/results! I have been trying to keep progress of her training and entries, even though I was very disappointed that MRH gave up on her while still only a two year old. Part of the disappoint is she was never placed in a two turn race; as a couple of jockey's (most recent included) stated she would be better going further. She was only entered in 6-7 furlong races. Ausmussen never followed that pattern of going longer. Just kept entering her in sprint races and claiming. What is equally disturbing, Tiznow horses typically do better as 3 year olds. Why so impatient with this horse?

So many new and fun things, with the “Wire to Wire” broadcast, the “town hall” live program on Lane Way, the video explanations that veterinarian Dr. Jeffrey Berk gives on horses and procedures… such a rich experience. Oh, and the not-so-minor fact that horses I own shares in have made 17 starts in the past thirty days, resulting in a 4-4-3 record. This continues to be such an amazing, fun, and educational experience.

We invested in MyRacehorse because we love the sport. Getting payback is nice but we look at this as a fun and educational hobby. The horses' health is a top concern to us and MyRacehorse seems to have horses conscientiously tested when something seems not right. While disappointing when a horse has to be retired, we'd rather that than the horse breaking down on the track. We intend to continue modest investing. Thank you, My Racehorse for the opportunity.

I worked at Longacres Racetrack as a groom between 1972 - 1982. I remember Gary Stevens as a new & upcoming jockey. I really enjoy his perspective of the horses in the races he covers. I loved working at the track & always wanted to have a racehorse. MRH has allowed me to finally realize my dream. Thanks for a great experience that takes me back to a time in my life filled with wonderful memories.

Soooo much fun riding the ups and downs of being an owner! The inside information and detailed updates on my horses is second to none. The team at MyRacehorse are great with communication, and obviously passionate about there horses, owners, and the business. At track events they are friendly and love to talk all things horse racing from the restaurant offerings, to the stats on the form. Being an owner has been a great experience in general, but best of all it has elevated my race days to an all time high!

Why do we keep running horses on the turf
Just a question? Why do our trainers continue to waste races on the turf? We have seen Collison Illusion, Provocateur', Frosted Oats and now Carothers run on the grass. I thinks our trainers are to quick to worry about their strides and gallop out. It has been a HUGE failure and as a Cross Country Coach they need to go back to to the basics. Running the orse mentioned above on the turf is a waste of time.

If a horse runs and it still has shares available to purchase, is the payout calculated on the actual shares sold or from the share offering allotment? It seems from my calculation the allotted shares! If the allotment why so? Does not seem fair to the Owners ? I am certain it would not raise the payout but by a few cents or at least until the full share allotment is sold. It would seem management should take the risk of not having not sold a full allotment of shares. They do offer a couple of hundred thousand over their purchase price for all expenses. Especially if they partner with another horseman i am sure they share the horse expenses with them. If not shame on them.
